about 2 hours… but I had a base mesh of a human that I did recently.
ZBrush 3
Thanks for comment!
You were quite fast with this model. Looks great, but what’s that minotaur going to do? Maybe something not so masculine like sewing curtains or knit some sweater.
I’m still going around with ideas for this challenge…
The Minotaur… well, I was thinking in the topic of the challenge, “Strange Behavior” and I read the instructions. Everybody is going for the funny side but I see more on this, as the instructions said “The unexpected can delight or shock. It can be exciting or frightening.” and “one of the most popular artistic themes unusual behaviors and relationships”, I go for this side…
Unusual juxtapositions
I want to do 2 oposites that fall in love and that love is forbidden, which I think match with the idea of emotive, frightening, entertainment, unusual relationship…
My Minotaur is in love of a centaur.
He is half bull half man and she is half horse half woman.
I’m looking for oposites, man-woman, bull-horse.
And the relationship that they carry, which is imposible for both tribes, they will be persecuted and punished.
I hope this idea match with the challenge, despite it’s not very funny.
brilliant modeling work!
but most of all … i simply adore the story! full of intensity … yet painfull … heartbreaking … yet eternal … i love it!
really eager to c more! …
good luck my friend! ![]()
god bless!
Looking nice, but shouldn’t the centaur have (… Gaah, damn english…) “horse feet” instead of “cow feet”. Hope you get what I mean even though I don’t know the exact words for it. Keep on!
Great start to the modeling, and at a incredible speed
It is a little hard to tell what is going on with the minotaur abdomen, the circular line (above the navel) suggests that it’s leather, but the definition makes it look like it’s part of the skin (clothing rarely follows a navel that tightly ;)).
Nice lay in on the centaur, I agree that the hooves don’t look quite right (they come farther forward then a horses would), but that is a very impressive start on it as well.
Looking forward to more.
First Painting on the minotaur
Still needs another layer of fur
I haven’t paint the armour yet, just simple colour.
