u do so many sketches for one caracter… i would be bored to tears. i usually ahve an idea in my haead and it usually is the first hing i go bakc to… ant wiat to see the full composition… great work

I think 16. has the most potential…it’s really important (if you go for it) that you capture the “character” and life that you have in that head drawing…stunning!

I agree with davison, nr16 and nr14 has the most potencial. they lookz amost like a elve. I think the others are great but they dont look like elves. rly great work walrus, I learning a lot from your art.

I agree with paulwdavidson… Im voting for no.16 but if u really dont wanna go with that one, my next suggestion would be no.9 just with bigger glasses.

I feel like the title of this submission is missing something, like it just needs a few more words to be a really cheesy movie title. Like “Sexy Teenage Elf Maidens… in Heat” or “Sexy Teenage Elf Maidens in Bondage” or “The Revenge of the Sexy Teenage Elf Maidens from Mars.” Or maybe that’s just me. Anyhow, as we have these haughty elf hotties walking in the background sneering at the RPG-playing Elves, I’m just doing some body studies.
Thanks everyone for the “votes” and such on the sketches of Noïdal. Everyone seemed to like different ones! No clear consensus, by any means… guess we all played D&D with different people! But at least a few votes for 9, 11, and 16. I have one or two others on another sketch somewhere that I think could work, too…
The next step there for me is to start pasting some of these different faces into the larger layout and see how they all work - one face may look great in a small sketch like this, but not work in the greater scene, or not work with the otehr characters. I’ll post more soon. Thanks again for all the comments and feedback, it really means a lot to me!

haha I like the checkingout each other elves on the bottom left hand corner…looks like ur having lots of fun, as for the vote, I couldn’t really choose, there isn’t really one that stands heads above the other… so yeah hehe I copped out…

Thanks for the notes, folks!
So I was in a meeting yesterday at work, and somewhere along the way I was thinking about how all fo the elf bodies would fit together on the page without one obsucring too much of another. I doodled this little sketch on the upper left. Then when I went home, I copied the small sketch onto a larger page in my sketchbook. The big image at the bottom is the result.
I’ll still be refining their faces, hairstles, weapons, and of course adding clothing. (I started costume sketches this morning.) Hope you like…!

LOL! I know this update was more about how the characters will fit into the composition, but the expressions on their faces are perfect! Very funny stuff. I’ve been following this thread and really haven’t been able to suggest any crits. Great progress Michael

this looks very nice but i do have one remark on this one… they seem like they are marching… even if the legs that are forward are not the same, they are in the same position/stretch and they give out that impression… just my thoughts
