Strange Behavior (Illustration) Entry: Martin Tung
Hi all guys in CGTalk, this is my first challenge attempt cause I’m pretty new to here and I was ambitious to enter this exciting challenge. Yeah thanks to my mate, he once suggested me to try on.
The model is still under construction. Can’t think of any appropriate texturing and environments
Kay, this is the concept sketch that I’ve drawn. Basically, the concept is a dragon-snake creature calld Drake, brought to outside world from the box. It needs to follow the arrows that sparks out. Drake even able to pass through the barrier and the frame holder, eventually shows that he’s even wondrous, curious, and wild.
This sketch is done by hand on paper, scanned into Photoshop
The model image is pretty much simplified, only focus on one creature that’s already been created. I had difficulty in making the “arrows” more realistic and smooth but it turned out that this one looks fine. I’m thinking of adding environment look to the image or maybe adding texture to the background to make it more appealing.

Here’s the almost textured model…the skin of Drake is similar to the snake’s. I added extra parts to Drake in his body. Other than Drake and objects, still a one step to go for refinement.
