Well, Im starting a little late, but I thought I might as well give it a shot anyway. Let’s see how far I go. (Hopefully I can finish it in time).

OK, my concept is quite simple: being controlled by strings like a puppet. We often feel controlled and restricted by circumstances.

I haven’t gone through every single entry yet so hopefully not too many have come up with this idea, but knowing my luck… :wink:

starting to focus on details - slowly - lol. I shifted her over to the left a bit to centre her. I tidied up one hand and arm. I don’t like where the string is on the foreground arm. It is too close to her face, so I am going to have to redraw that arm with more foreshortening.

Well, I came up with another concept… I think I have too many cocepts running around in my head.

This character is fishing from a bucket because he hasn’t adjusted to his new environment.

Hey, Could be pretty funny the one with the eskimo, although a little like another one ive seen here of an eskimo in the desert. cant find it now but its somewhere here :stuck_out_tongue: try experimentng with the composition a little bit anyways to make it more oddlooking :slight_smile:

Hi Lynda,

    This seems to be a good concept..Can I make a suggestion? How about try putting a monkey in the tree? scratching his head trying to figure out what the hell is this strange eskimo doing?. might help as well on your composition?..Anyway it's just me trying to entertain myself with this silly idea. hehe..Cant wait to see how this progresses! Ferx - I worked a lot more on the first concept than I actually posted, but so far it has brought more frustration than satisfaction, so I kinda started playing with other concepts. Thanks for your encouragement though.

Ligo - oh darn, I hadn’t seen the other one with the eskimo in the desert. I still like this idea though so I might play with it some more.

Raffy - I do like the idea of a monkey in the tree. Thanks heaps. :slight_smile:

yet another concept… a hippo in an opulent setting… might add a servant offering food and wine.

Hey Lynda, nice sketch, I love the concepts with hippos :thumbsup: Your idea sounds good. I think the hippo in a diet program can work or running in a gym equipment ( the walking machine, i dont know how to say in english :smiley: ) Only thinking aloud … :smiley: Again great work!!

I haven’t posted anything in a while because I am still struggling with settling on a concept. And time is running out. I have too many ideas this time around. Sigh.
