mdavid Thanks for your kind words, i apreciate your imput. I doubt very much that i’ll be able to finish in time, but that’s not why i enter these challenges. I think in the end i’ll do a studio type shot of this and spend a lot of time sorting out the materials and lighting.
Miketche Thanks for looking in buddy, i’m still not sure if i’m going to go with the shadow idea, it all depends on lighting tests.

Soapy Thanks for looking in, still not sure about the spooky shadow idea. I need to get my thinking cap on, which at this stage is hungover.
Womball Thanks, for the chain it was so simple that i just used blenders cursor snapping to align a quater of the links and then just mirrored things along two axis, i could have gone the curve rout but it only took a few minutes to do it this way.

Great work Steven, those mechanics look great. I am somehow attracted to the idea of building things accurately in 3d. Fun stuff.
