I picked egypt mythology,

Journey to the land of the dead

Darkness lay over Egypt, but one red gash of sunset shone through the great pass in the mountains of the Western Desert, the Gap of Abydos. Through this they sped into the First Region of the Night and saw beneath them the Mesektet Boat in which Re began his journey into the Duat with the ending of each day. Splendid was the Boat, glorious its trappings, and its colors were of amethyst and emerald, jasper and turquoise, lazuli and the deep glow of gold. A company of the gods drew the Boat along the ghostly River of Death with golden towing-ropes; the portals of the Duat were flung wide, and they entered the First Region between the six serpents who were curled on either side. And in the great Boat of Re journeyed the Kas of all those who had died that day and were on their way to the judgement Hall of Osiris.

In this image I was thinking of showing the serpents looking at the small ship passing over a river of souls

So I was thinking about going in a different direction. I wanted to show the father and son overlooking a small steam punk Egyptian town. I wanted to show one of the gates in town. With the last gate off in the distance, showing the river of souls off to the heavens. or something like that :slight_smile:

Fellow washingtonian! I really like your composition. I think the egyptian mythology is a great subject matter to join with steampunk. cant wait to see what it looks like!

Browniw3703, Thanks, enjoy all the snow we got? I know I was. I can’t wait to see what it looks like either :), I really want to make a big change, but not sure yet. I might have to stick with what I have.

Well I just came home after graduating from WSU and we have a ton of snow over there so I am kinda sick of it now. LOL. Yeah, well I think your the only Egyptian theme I have seen yet so keep it up!

Hey kilduff, that soul tornado is a cool idea.
It looks like the souls get weaker as they go and crawl along the trail to the end?
I like the one sitting on the roof :smiley:
