Ive kind of loosely fleshed out a concept for my steampunk minotaur. I’m not the most gifted illustrator and have found that all my attempts at a frontal view have been quite lame.
I dont really have time to do heaps of pre viz. The idea was to get a basic anatomy and mechanical structure that I can pin the the 3d modeling to…I’m keen to let a lot of it take form within the modeling process rather then dictate completely what it should look like prior to going into it. Its much more fun to let the model evolve, an not be set to a solid idea that it should look a specific way.
Ultimately I imagine the minotaur to be quite ornate with labyrinth like embossing on his armour. With the head I kind of had Mike Tysons tatoos in mind. There’s an ornateness there but you wouldn’t f#*K with him in a dark alley or Labyrinth as the case may be.

Just modeled a basic head for my minotaur…Long way to go.
