Steampunk Myths and Legends Entry: Rafael Landim de Souza

#21

I understand - but that doesn’t mean I can’t stop wishing

My biggest concern right now is that you’re scaling everything, including the gears, once you come to actually running chains down the full tentacle, is it going to be overwhelmed by the size of the chain at the ends?

#22

I noticed this problem today morning, I still do not believe pass this detail so obvious… :frowning:
Now I have to fix, yet not imagine what is the best way. I tried not to scaling the gears, but has not been good, the difference between the first segment and the size of the gears is too big…
I need to learn another way to make that connection.

#23

Perhaps start with the smaller gears only having 8 or so sprockets, and then as they get bigger changing the amount of sprockets?

You should be able to do this relatively easily and then scale the inner part of the wheel.

#24

Thanks a lot salmonmoose, your incentives and help is very important.
I agree, think this is the really best solution and I started to fix it

#25

This is going to be killer when your done. One of my favorites so far.

Excellent work Sir!

sasquatch70: thanks man, I looked and their entry is very good

I fixed the size of gears, I believe that this solves the problem of the scale of the tentacles segments

#36

If i have any criticism, it would be that the kraken’s head looks rather fragile.

However, there is wonderful attention to detail in the piece so far.
