So I started alittle research about death angels and found alittle article about the archangel Michael. So he is one of the fifty angels in Chrisitn and islamic tradition viewed as the field commander of the Army of God. He was mentioned in Book of Daniel, and Book of Revelation. Sounds pretty cool huh? So i was thinking wouldn’t it be cooler if I change the tale alittle bit and make him a her(Ther are no female death angels btw 
what a shame) So theres the basic insipiration I had for this project.

So I got started on the painting around 3 days ago and I forgot to upload my sketch wip, here it is, thankgod I didn’t paint over it so I still had it on a separate layer

Looking good! I like her stance, it’s very dynamic. The only thing I can say is maybe the gauntlet (is that the word?)…the glove armour thing…is a bit large, even with perspective. It’s bigger than her boots, which are closer to us and the boots should be bigger at a comparable scale anyway.
What colours are you using? Keep it up!

The picture is inspired byErzengel Michael by Guido Reni, although not as “classical” lol I still want to convey the same sense of majestic grand movement of Michael or Michaela in my case haa. Obviously it’s not complete yet and I am unsure if my use of color is too vibrant…or saturated becuase I am not digging the comic book look

So the image is basically finished, I fixed the hair and polished the weapon. The only thing left to do would be adding smoke to the designated holes. Wohooo

I somehow failed to find any female angel of death in the Bible and other scripts, there seem to be a lack of woman divine figures so I altered the book of joshua alittle bit and created her, Angel de Mort.
