#21

Sounds like a cool concept mate and your concept sketches are looking like a pretty good start!

#22

Hehe, good idea, fun one.

Seems challenging btw

#23

Good luck with your entry  Your modeling gallery is amazing.

#24

I really like your gallery and your concept is look funny.

#25

Hi Nic , let’s fun begin, I start my concepts this weekend. Nice character you chose, cant wait to see your first wip 3d model.I wont say good luck because its not matter of luck but only skills and talent, so good work and stay inspired.

#26

some more research on the “so-called” mortar.

#27

cool sketch Nic like where its going!

#28

PorkpieSamurai: hey chris, thanks man

AndreiSzasz: Thank you, really hope i’ll have the dedication needed to finish my entry lol.

Lemog: merci  bientôt le modeling mais J’essaye de bien réfléchir à comment aborder le “projet” pour pas abandonner une fois la phase du modeling passé lol j’ai pas l’habitude de faire des scenes completes.

Elendil_le_Grand, scootermaya, Dreamtec, gpepper, anandpg, Goul, MartinNielsen, heavenson: Thank you guys i’ll do my best

#29

Never heard of Baba-Yaga but it will sure be interesting to get to know her

#30

Nice drawings and concept. Can’t wait till next update. My eyes are fixed upon this work!

#31

Cool sketch…I think it needs bigger wings though, and maybe develop more theirs mechanisms to give them more details, it looks like they’re not really usefull here (maybe it’s what you want…in that case forget it ^^ )

I like the old fashioned seat btw

#32

NR43, TheGoozer ; thanks guys.

Goul: yep i agreed, i didn’t make the wings bigger because i had no place enought on my paper lol ( bad placement) and about all the mechanisms stuffs i will surely improvise during the modeling phase. The drawing is just there to have some basic idea to start with.

#33

Baba Yaga ,hehehe…haven’t heard that story since I was 5 or 6 years old, my grandma used to scared me with the story if i wouldn’t behave…
looking forward to see the progress of the piece ,good luck

#34

Started shyly on the “steam” mortar, hard surface modeling is a slow process for me ^^.

#35

shwa: thanks man, glad it reminds you some nice “souvenir” .

#36

Good design !

#37

Yes good modeling

#38

Baba-Yaga? Sounds very familiar … but definitely cool! Best of luck to you Nicolas! The first render looks very promising to say the least!

#39

Wow, great character and back story! This should be lots of fun, especially if you can incorporate all of the elements you described into the composition. Can’t believe how far on you are with your work too, better pull my finger out.

Great looking steam seat  I like the way it is starting. Get going man :bounce:
