Can’t resist to enter the challenge too, hope i will be able to finish it since time :hmm:.
I’m gonna try to make my version of Baba-Yaga‏. :smiley:

For those who don’t know who is she, here are a few lines from wikipedia about her …

Baba Yaga is, in Slavic folklore, a witch-like character who flies around on a giant mortar, kidnaps (and presumably eats) small children, and lives in a house on chicken feet.

That concept sounds really cool, does it look a bit like Howls moving castle?

This is going to be really challenging. The only thing i’m worry about right now is whether i will be able to render the final image in full A4 300dpi. (My computer is quite old :scream: ) , Anyways everything in its own time Lol . Will post some sketch’n’previz tonight.

Layout research + Previz of the character + quick sketches.

here is a description of the character-look; One of her leg is made of bones ( here, pipes and gears) , she’s moving on a flying mortar ( gonna be a flying machine with pipes, gears and steaming stuffs ) with the help of the pestle as a rudder and sweep away the tracks behind her with a broom made out of silver birch ( will be made of wood/steel with white ornements ) . She has a really bad eye vision ( so i’ll add to her some kind of magnify goggles ) . She also uses the skulls as lamps to lit the surrounding which i’m going to hang up to the tree branch .
