Hi, this is just a really early small thumbnail of my concept which will be Hannibal crossing the Alps. Intially I see Hannibal’s army as very Prussian in appearance.

I wanted to start off with roughs that were a little more advanced in the design process but part of the fun is to see everything so here it is.

#3

Just starting to visualize Hannibal.

#4

Hi!
I love your character design
very nice

#5

That’s a great character design, the style reminds me of ‘the Gentlemens Duel’ by Blur Studio.

I cant wait to see more.

#6

Thanks for the comments, I’m now thinking Hannibal and his army more Napoleanic then Prussian.

#7

I love the designs as well. Can’t wait to see what the elephants look like. Thumbnail is great too, I will have to try sketching in blue pencil sometime.

#8

Neat style!
Makes me want to see it animated.

#9

Good style and thought …!
best wishes for the challenge …!

Your character are very funny ! And your concept is interesting.
Bye

#12

Another take on Hannibal, with his little breathing apparatus for the high altitude elevations.

#13

Character concepts look awesome very stylized keep up the great work!

#14

Another great concept! Im not too sure about the breathing apparatus though, looks a bit too weird around the mouth.

#15

Great character concepts! I do agree with xtremepenguin about the mouth: specifically, the curves of the upper lip make him look like he has a cat-snout for a mouth. But aside from that, things are looking great. Looking forward to seeing where you go with these!

#16

LOL, I didn’t see that at all but now that you point it out it’s all I can see.

#17

wow, your sketches are wicked. to be honest, i much prefer the captain/hannibal in the second post then the small pudgy faced one.

#18

A few more studies of Hannibal.

#19

I really love those designs…keep it up.

Great work Olie. I was wondering if you had a Bio posted somewhere? Just wondering how and where you received your training or if you were self taught. I alway have an interest in Artists that show great skill.
Thanks, Randy
