Steampunk Myths and Legends Entry: Michael Biastoch
Hi,
so my first challenge and also my first (hopefully) complete(d) 3D Project. Here the first very, very raw composition sketch.
I got the idea for my image by reading W.B.Yeats “The wild swans at Coole”, but I have altered the mood and the statement a lot from this starting-point. So it’s not realy from a myth or legend but from a other great piece of literature.
The idea is to show a woman in a wheelchair, with a steampunk lifesupport system and a mechanical servant and how she watches a lake with a mechanical swan.
This should show (I hope so :-)) on one side how technic often destroys or displaces(?) natural wonders and how we become dependent on this technical developements. But on the other side it shows how it helps us and developes a own kind of beauty.
Maybe someone likes this concept
Next will be blocking out the scene in 3D and more detailed concept drawings for the separate elements.
And please ecxuse my bad english
-Michael
Interesting idea, Maybe the robot polling the chair is a bit redundant, since the chair could have it’s own propulsion means, Maybe you could find another action for him, like fixing some pipes to her arm or something.
Going great, I’ll stay tuned!![]()
