Steampunk Myths and Legends Entry: Marvin Herbring
Hi guys!
First off, i apologize for my very late entry… i didn´t really have enough time to fully concentrate on this huge project before christmas break, and i realized just right now that the deadline for the image category is already on january 12th, not in february like the video deadline… =/
Anyway, since i knew about the challenge since early december, i´ve had enough time to think of a topic and how i will approach it. Thus, i didn´t really draw lots of thumbs, just a few but mainly with pencil. I might scan them later, maybe…
Oh yes, my topic will be the ancient underwater city of Atlantis.
These are not my first sketches, i already did some with pen&paper. I might upload them later.
I didn?t put much effort in these sketches here, cause i already had the look of the image in my head.
These are some 3D-Sketches which show the basic structure of Atlantis.
I made shots of multiple views to see what might be the best perspective.
It?s pretty detail-less, so i?ll have enough romm for changes when i work on it in 2D later on.
Here i took one of the previous shots and enlarged it. I added the dome structure sketch and defined the depth a bit trough b/w softbrush-painting…
It?s taking shape!
I?ve made a rough sketch of the city?s structures here. Now it?s time to clean things up…yay.
