Hi everyone…exciting topic for the challenge. When I read the topic the first thing that came to mind was one of my favorite Greek gods Hephaestus. He was the god of technology, blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, fire and volcanoes.
My begining thoughts were to have Hephaestus more robot-like with his chest like a furnace and pipes coming out of his back releasing the heat and pressure (think steam engine). He will be working on a large anvil inside a volcanic cave or outcrop.

Design will change and composition most likely as well… just wanted to get on paper what first came to mind. Want him to have a bit more rugged hard look than he has in the fast sketch.

Thanks guys… lots more work still to do. Right now he is mostly nurbs with a few sub-ds. More cooming soon.
