Fast pen sketch in a notebook. I’ll be working around “Lilith”.

Worked on the upper body general figure a little bit after I finished the pen sketch. Lilith should look attractive, no nudity will be involved though.

Trying to define the composition and advanced a little on details and overall sketch.

Point of View/Story for the development of my character:

 Lilith, first bride to Adam, created from the same clay. She refuted to serve, and left paradise, to live in a cave near the Red Sea. She accepts the demons outside paradise as her lovers and starts breeding demons. God sent 3 angels to bring her back but she declined the offer. Because of this, she was cursed by God, she will lose 100 of her children every night until she decides to go back to Paradise. Lilith is filled with hate and anger; she wants revenge and haunts every corner of the world looking for babies to kill and men to seduce, in order to use their souls to keep breeding an army of her own demons. Queen of Succubus (female demons), related to darkness, death, illness, snakes and owls, bride of Samael.

Trying to finish up the overall sketch, added some new ideas and tested some colors, gonna try and wrap up the sketch soon to start working on painting/details.

Hola Jaime,Really cool concept, very original, and like a lot your approach to the concept, nice!! Your sketches are looking good :smiley: Maybe, you can rise the Lilith head and she looking to the sky, on a bit dramatic pose and expression, on a evil or anger gesture, only a comment :slight_smile: Good luck and looking forward for more updates ! Hey Ferx!  I’ll work on her head posture for sure in the next updates. Thanks for the reply, kind words and comments!  Gotta rush to classes now , I’ll try to upload some new stuff by tonight.

Worked on more details. Changed the face a lot. Wings are just a concept so far, drew them on a notebook and liked how they looked. I’ll be polishing everything so it doesn’t look as messy and I will blend everything in next updates to bring the overall composition together. I need to work on all textures, colors and backgrounds.

Found some good facts on Lilith to help me in the overall concept/design.

  •      Lilith is accompanied by four hundred and eighty hosts of evil spirits and destroying angels, and she is constantly howling.

    •      Lilith is an actual demoness who is blamed for such things as mothers dying in child-birth, still-birth, crib-death, and erotic dreams among men.

    •      Rabbi Hanina said, "One may not sleep alone in a house, for Lilith takes hold of whoever sleeps alone in a house."

    •    The Hebrew word for "Screech Owl" in Isaiah 34: 14 is "liyliyth" a night

    sceptre from the Hebrew word “layil” meaning night. Lilith was a female

    goddess known as a night demon who haunts the desolate places of Edom

    (Harris, Archer, Waltke, “Theological Wordbook of the O.T.” Vol. 1, p.

    479).

Not sure if I’ll be able to make it to the deadline but I decided to switch my concept.

The story behind Archangel Michael really captured and inspired me so I’m gonna give it a shot. I’ll be posting more on the story and background soon.
