this should be fun.
going with steam-re-tell of “Jack and the Beanstalk.” this is first concept for Jack. it’s got some issues, looks like an oldman turtle, but i like where the costume is going.

how about a scarf. maybe more like Oliver Twist, a sickly orphan.

an environment concept. lots of pipes and stuff for a dark sewer-like set.

first composition idea. really trying to establish an environment that suggests a ‘forest of steel,’ to set it in contrast to the beanstalk.

working out some of the set elements. a steam run world needs lots of water right?

working on building the set. the steam sewers of the world. lots of pipes, still working out the placing the objects for composition.

probably the final composition. still fine tuning the palette. really want to stick Jack smack in the middle of a steam-industrial wasteland.
