Hello all,

Like many people time will be the major factor in this challenge, or rather, a lack of time.

Hopefully I will be able to get something finished on time!

I have chosen the ‘Cyclops’ as a starting point. I am now looking into various stories relating to the cyclops. I am currently deciding on going with either the traditional Greek Myth or more of a homage to Ray Harryhausen’s ‘Seventh Voyage of Sinbad’ incarnation of the creature.

Another update. I’m not sure about the pipes coming out of the head being made of metal. I think it will have problems turning it’s head if this is the case.

Next step will be to work on the arms. Dreading rigging this thing!

Hey Minty good to see you in. The model looks killer so far! Nice work on the textures, the look has a nice retro steampunk feel to it.

Hello guys and thanks for the feedback. Funnily enough I was just looking back through my 3DWorld and IFX back issues and your Chihuahua Bot piece was extremely inspiring Walrus. Spooky! Cheers again guys and good luck to everyone entering.

Here is a WIP shot of my Captain Sinbad model. Still not sure of how the scene will be set up between this chap and the Cyclops.
