More work on lips and monocle. Starting to block the dress.
That odd white lines are a first visualization of where the steam gear will be in the background.
Thank you

I know You’ve done a lot , especialy on monocle since last update, but I think the monocle is (a left eye as well) a bit to more to the left (her left, our right), which is placing her eye to deep in the scull. (imho)
cheers

I have worked more on the dress. I’m perplexed about the fabric rendering, I wanted something between leather and silk, and I’m not sure if it gives the idea @_@
Thank you for looking
LOOKING GREAT Alice…:applause: ![]()
On her dress fabric…You might create it on another layer, and start with a solid deep deep almost black purple and work your way into the lights and highlights from that black purple base color…Just a thought that might be useful to you…don’t know, but thought it worth mentioning.
That little bit of underlying black purple will complement the golds in her skin and the eye piece…
Keep going…she’s looking very sultry and very appealing…BEAUTIFUL…
TAKE CARE
Glenn
Oh Glenn! Good idea!
I think I will try the way you suggested, seems good at this point
Updates coming soon…
For the cloth, the first way was already very good because we saw exactly the type of material… but the idea of Glenn could work of course… I vote for ![]()
ok, here’s a first visualization of the decorative steampunk elements.
Of course they will be more refined and with a more “painted” look, but what I was thinking about is some kind of Gustav Klimt taste, with “true gold” (if it makes any sense, LOL)
By the way, here it is:

About uploading the milestones…I can’t upload my WIP…it’s always too big, also if I save it at very low reso…anyone has some ideas?
As always, thank you for looking and commenting

Here’s the updated WIP… I painted all the steampunk decorative elements and the dress is slowly evolving with its texture.
I was finally able to upload the second milestone (yaay! LOL) but at low quality, so here’s the best quality one
Thank you for looking…for comments…for everything!
**Hi… Alice… I saw your first sketch before… and I was interest in her face… it’s really beautiful and I like it…
**but in your last update… Cassandra lost in this gears and frame… it’s too sharp… maybe it’s reasonable to make it softly and darker (I mean gears)… and with the help of hair to underline her face… make more accent on it… and add more depth to image…
**just my opinion… and certainly best luck for you
Alexander, thank you for your ideas… sketches for me are always more expressives than my painted version of them…I still have so much to practice with painting!
My idea for the final version is to have the main accent on the face and on the scar, that simbolizes her sufference. In order to do this, I was thinking about a soft hair (something recalling Klimt or Preraffaelites, just to give you an idea) and to make the whole gear around her “corroded”; this means to darker it all around, to make it more grunge.
I am not sure if it is what you intended, but I think it is.
If not…correct me pleeease
And thank you for stopping here
HEY…Alice…
No crits from me…Just really enjoying it…:arteest:
Klimt…one of my favorites…
I can’t remember what program you are using on this, is it Painter or photoshop?
In the Corel Painter program, there is a liquid metal brush that might be useful to you on those gears and frame…In the Photoshop program which i’ve never used, I think it’s called liquidfy or something like that.
Just thought I would mention it, in case you never heard of or tried those brushes…
Anyway, …KEEP GOING,…It’s looking GREAT…BEAUTIFUL.
.To my eye anyway…
TAKE CARE
Glenn
Glenn, I’m a newbie at Painter, I mainly use Photoshop; but I’m experimenting sometimes with painter, so thank you for the tip! I will try those brushes this night
**about hair I meant to make more depth on it… now it look a bit flatten… maybe try to make like in art of Bao Pham

but foreground make more sharp with some highlighted strands…
**about the gears… I understand what you want… but check for an accent… I think you can lose the figure in the textures… but certainly try… I really don’t know…
**and I think about folds of cloth… it look a bit unnatural… at the sketch it was minimal and more natural and interest…
**Looking forward…
The folds around the gathers on the middle upper arm look good… but right around the deltoid, they look more like the cloth is draping over chicken wire.
ooook, understood
Hair are not finished at all, so yes, they will look more natural (hopefully O_o).
AND…I wait your comment when the texture will be finished
honestly I still don’t know where the painting will bring me exactly
About the wrinkles in the dress, I will think about it.
Thank you!
Hye

Naresh, thank you for your visit!
Sure, the hair will take me lot of time and work…but I’m patient
