Starting Painting... Utopia or not?

Hi all,
I would like a lot to draw, but unfortunately I am not very good. Now however I would want to begin to use Photoshop to learn to do it: is it possible? According to you I can succeed in learning to create, even, some “masterpieces” with this Software? To do this I had intention to use as reference the book “Photoshop CS6 The missing manual”, that, from what I have read, it seems enough good person and suit as I hover. You that you think of it?

…and lots of practice. Anyone can learn to draw & paint well - practice and time. Draw every day. Get some good books: “drawing on the right side of the brain”, do lots of anatomy drawings. And have fun: do not focus on the results too much, but on the process.
