Hello guys, I wish to know if is possible to use a map file to control the SSS scattering color, weight or back scattering, like in other software we can, I just can see a color picker to change the overall effect of the scattering to the models and the numeric input fields, but not something that let me apply an especific texture to control just one particular area for the SSS efect onto ears, nose, etc, on a human body.
Is possible?
thank you in advice!
SSS scattering color, using a map?

U can use general diffuse texture (a little slider under color of catter). The other part is possible by using nodes and maps for mixing different materials with SSS.

Yeah, nodes. Just google it http://bensimonds.com/2010/05/31/three-layer-sss-in-blender-demystified/

The Scattering color can be controlled as explained above.
The render branch gives you control over the SSS scale with a texture map:
Not the color tho, don’t know how hard would be to implement that.
Cheers!
