[left]CGTalk's Anatomy Forum is nearly a year old and I thought it only appropriate that some of the best work on the forum be showcased for the larger CGTalk community.

CGTalk's Anatomy Forum has grown from the first three free Anatomy Reviews in June 2005 to it's own sub~forum under WIP/Critique: 2D, Illustrations and Concept Art. Now, thanks to the hard work and participation of CGTalk's active members, the Anatomy Forum has come into it's own and earned a place on the front page of CGTalk with it's own sub~forums, one of which is the SPOTLIGHT Forum, which is designed exclusively to showcase the best work which has been created on or posted to the Anatomy Forum.

In an effort to keep the SPOTLIGHT threads clean, I have closed the SPOTLIGHT threads for posting. I invite everyone to look at the SPOTLIGHT Forum threads and to kindly post their comments regarding artists' work here.

                   Please post to this thread:

                   >Compliments, comments, constructive feedback about SPOTLIGHT images for the artists
                   >Suggestions for the SPOTLIGHT forum
                   >Etc.
                   >Please also report broken links here.

Thank you, and congratulations to all of the SPOTLIGHT artists and to everyone who has helped make the first year of the Anatomy Forum a success!

Rebecca you did a wonderful job, your hard work shows.:applause: Thank you.

#8

I would just like to say that you did an awesome job on this part of the anatomy forum, and I would like to thank you for putting a couple of my images up, I guess I will have to practice hard now, so I can get more up there
Keep it up!

#9

Great idea!!! The artists really deserve a spotlight!!! Its great we can find their great work at one place. Rebecca you always come up with great new ideas!Keep it up:applause:

#11

Thanks Rebeccak  for the concept art spot light

This summer ill have more time for sure to put some projects and even have time to be a part of that fourm yet again I miss it.

#12

That’s an awesome idea - summing it all up beautifully!

#13

Thanks for the spotlight Rebecca!!! Wow, that’s so cool. :bounce:

Did you forget the shading practices though? I thought there was a series of those as well, or just 3? well at least my skull was cooler than my ortho imo lol. cheers, gonna edit this out, bloody embarassing.

#14

It’s great to see such a nice response! Thanks everyone!

EDIT: I decided it would be a shame not to SPOTLIGHT the Anatomy Review 003, in which a lot of great work was produced. It can be seen here:

SPOTLIGHT: Best of Anatomy Review 003: Shading Tutorial and Human Skull Exercise

Anatomy Reviews 001 and 002 were less cohesive due to the fact that folks were working from their own reference, so I’ve decided not to SPOTLIGHT that work ~ however, the threads of course remain open for browsing, and the hard work put into the threads by it’s participants is very much appreciated.

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Oh I see, frankly I’m amazed you found time to put this together!!! You’re doing such great things for this forum. I prolly wouldn’t even have learnt to paint if not for your efforts. Plus I get to post this in my 4000 st post… YAY!!!

Great work! And great work in the those threads. I’ll be rbowsing for hours.

Wow Rebecca! Great job!
And we´ve done well, us members  Amazing work, and in such a short time. Imagine the amount of inspiration we will find here after a couple of years! And I´m pretty sure that in the future when “digital painting” art is getting the public acceptance and admiration it deserves, we will see painters and illustrators from our fine forum out on the “big walls”. And we can say - “we knew them when they were young and struggling” :bounce:

#17

WOW! The Artistic Anatomy & Figurative Art Forum has made a spectacular addition to CGtalk! Thank you Rebecca!:scream:

#18

Heh, it makes sense to SPOTLIGHT the Anatomy Review work as well.

I’ve added this to the Links:

SPOTLIGHT: Best of Anatomy Review 003: Shading Tutorial and Human Skull Exercise

It’s a WIP. Should be finished soon.

EDIT: It’s up and running.

Cheers,

~Rebeccak
