Splne Modeling Workflow

I am trying to figure out the spline modeelng workflow in Modo coming from a rookie LW background. If someone is out there who is familiar with the workflow please outline some steps please. Here is where I am stuck right now.

Once Ive laid out some splines I can not figure out how to add additional points to it (ie after the tool has long been released) then things like Welding and merging points. Patching. Also is there a command to center an object like f2 in lw. thanks

I have been learning MODO and playing about with the spline modeling tools as well.
If I could keep modo from crashing when I use the spline tools I’d probably be a little further along. Hope it gets fixed in the patch…
anyway…
The way I add points to a spline is to:
select poly mode

choose the spline you want to add points to

Click the “curve” or “bezier curve” button

in the tool properties, choose “edit”
the little yellow squares should appear on the spline… I think they should have appeared without choosing “edit”… maybe that is another bug?

Now choose “add” from that same drop down.

Click on the spline to add a point. It adds the new point AFTER the one you already have selected.
