Sphere from a Perspective Drawing

#1

Getting a Box and Pyramid from a Perpective drawing is easy.

How does one do a Sphere using the traditional 2 vanishing lines?

#2

work out with circles. draw a perspecive view of the box like the one you say. then draw circles on those three planes. nd the rest is pretty self explanatory…

byw, put the circles inside the boxes

#3

Draw a box, then make a sprere out of it

funny, thats the part i get stuck on :stuck_out_tongue:

can you dumb that down a bit?

Do a search on CGTalk or Google for ‘Successful Drawing’ by Andrew Loomis. It has a section on perspective drawing that is easy to understand.

Wow, are u laik a toduhl nuub erh? I can even make a pshere out of a do decah-hedron. Yahr.

determine the center points of the cubes faces, that’s awhere a perfectly circular sphere would touch them, consequently draw a sphere through there. Using circles and ellipsoids to cennect the dots sorta. The widest parts will touch the ‘bounding box’ so you’l have the contours right in a dhj-iffy.

was just kidding, heheh… hope you got that part 2.
