I just wonder if most of you uses references or are you just painting all the cool stuff from the back of your head?
Both. Some use reference and some just paint from their imagination.
The idea here is to feel free to paint as loose or as tight as you want. Just have fun. Its a great place to practice and learn.
Dont worry about trying to make a finished painting.

I Try to mix up 2 images in my mind and sketch a single one with those 2
The Wheel of Time is a VERY LONG tolkien-esque book series - each of the books is as long as the entire LOTR trilogy and there are nine so far.
It’s a sort of Medieval setting with a lot of dark characters…
Is the series just as good? 'Cuz I think I’m interested now. Even though I’ve never read any LOTR books… but I hear they’re good. 
I stopped reading after 4 books, when I found out there are enough books to fill my bookshelve, and the story goes on and on and on… It’s quite good though.

yeah it’s a sweet series…It’s quite good…I’m really into it…the only thing that sucks about it is that, well…it’s 9 books long, and it’s not finished yet…and the author “Robert Jordan” makes us wait 1-2 years for the next book…I’m impatient that way…
