Would you mind sharing some of your stages of painting? For 45 minutes I couldnt even get a ball nicely shaded, this is beautiful work…wondering if some of the guys here could share some techniques for the beginners (please :)).

Speedpainting done as an exercise as to see how fast I could do a character concept that would be approved and then colored by who ever I would be working for. It took me about three hours.

Decided to really get into digital painting and threw chance to the wind. The following took me ~1 hour, based on a reference pic, but didn’t have the reference pic up at the time.
