Specify Specific Guide to be Clumped in XGen

Hi,

By default, clumping in xgen, at the lowest level, is defined by per guide. However, I want to go lower and that is to clump only on a specific guide.
For instance, there are 5 guides (A,B,C,D,E). I want the to only clump at A or A and E.

Is that possible to in Xgen? So far, I only see per guide (all guides) and random generation of clumping points.

P.S. If you are suggesting to have the guides at separate description, I did that but the minimum guide for Xgen to work is two. So I get two clumps. I only need one.

in this case i would go with tube groom or multiple descriptions…

RE: Multiple descriptions. As stated, that’s what I did but again each description still needs two guides.
RE: Tube Groom. I had this in mind, but if I had to change the hair shape it would be somewhat tedious to just manipulating it one curve.

Basically, I just want to confirm the following if I’m at dead end so I can drop this method:

(1) Is it possible to specify guide to be clumped in Xgen?
or
(2) Is it possible to just use one guide for Xgen? (Currently I can see it needs two for it to operate. )

I can’t find much answer in the documentation.

paint a mask… or use the new interactive groom…
you could use the clump brush there…

Probably going ahead with masking or tube grooming.
