Xpressionist forum here http://www.ramjac.com/forum/
I prompt you to ask questions for learning… I would be happy to help with any scripting questions you may have. Electro303 had a lot of example scripts, but I am not sure where they are now. iirc, they are still hosted somewhere.

Hello,
just visit the Ramjac site at: http://www.ramjac.com/
there you will find also a forum.
oops…already answered…

Stefan
ok, googled a quick location…
Paralumino is hosting Electro303, here are the XP examples:

Thank you very much for the links, and for your support offer
I thought that maybe there were some “script’s Library” to be used directly in EIAS, and who adapt easily to your current project. I think it would be a good product.

Hola, this is a script to produce an effect as of trails behind the movement of an object.
if(frame>30)
{
for(n=2;n<11;n=n+1)
{
$object=“Sphere_”+n;
$object.Position=Sphere_1.Position[frame-(n2)];
$object.SphereRadius=Sphere_1.SphereRadius-(n0.02);
$object.Transparency.Opacity=Sphere_1.Transparency.Opacity-(n*0.07);
}
}
works very well if the object is animated with Key frames, but now I want to assign a skeleton that is animated via. BVH (motion capture) but when Sphere_1 is linked to the bone of his hand (for example) it moves along with his hand but objects trails can not follow.
Maybe some of the XPressionist’s gurus could help me?:rolleyes:
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Hi Diego,
you can use the coord() function (absolute coordinates). With this you can attach the ball to thze bone without linking it to it. the function returns the world position of your bone, even if it is linked in a hierarchy. So, if you assign this position to the balls position the ball will always stick to the bone, even if it is not linked to it as a child. Works similar to a position constraint - that is why this function is under the constraint category. You would write:
Ball.Position = coord(Bone.Position);
Here is the page of the manual:

Olé! Thank you Jens,
(coords) was just what I needed, Xpressionist rocks! :buttrock:

I will see how well is Xpresionist,do you have any scripting experience in the past. Is it like MEL or more like Xpresso. For what i have seen isa more like MEL script. Dont like these too much.
After Efects Expressions,Xpresso in C4D,and Xpressionist is gonna make me crazy.
Hola Edgard,
I have very little experience in programming, but a basic use of Xpressionist in EIAS is easy and extremely useful, you can save tons of time. and also can create wonderful motion graphics effects.![]()
