Some guidance please

I need to learn few stuff on After Effects just to support my other projects, I don’t wanna learn how destroy a building or clone a person, I just wanna know how to make simple things like revealers and loop backgrounds… but I can’t find any tutorials about that… all the tutorials i can find are either sucky tutorials about stuff i am not interested in and not or video tutorials that i can’t view online because i don’t have the patience to wait for a movie to load on 512kbit ADSL line, can you tell me where i can find books/tutorials exclusively for the stuff i want? and if they are tutorials i want them online tutorials or if they are videos then preferably downloadable ones, if they are books then i want a soft copy of them, not necessary free, but I want to be able to read them on my pc or download them at the moment i buy them, I dont want a hard copy that will reach me after months of buying it (I live in an occupied country)

He has many simple tutorials which are all online and text based so they should be good for you to take a look at. Hope that’s the kind of thing you’re looking for.
