Softwares other than Voodoo for camera tracking in Blender?

#1

I searched for camera tracking tutorials in Blender, and all of them say that we have to use Voodoo. The problem is, it’s really hard to get a fast/working link to download voodoo… any help would be greatly appreciated a.s.a.p.! :frowning:

I just did a 10 second google search and got the home page.

http://www.digilab.uni-hannover.de/download.html

it downloads directly from their home server.

I don’t think you’ll find anything free other than Vodoo. There is Icarus which as far as I know was the basis for pftrack. It’s available on Colin Levy’s site http://www.colinlevy.com/tuts/IcarusTutorials/Icarus.php but the track data can only be imported into Blender 2.41.

You could try pfhoe which is around $99 and has exporters for Blender and other major apps.

If you want something working, time is of the essence and free is the only option, then the link above IS fast and reliable.

yeah, i already have a copy of voodoo. i think those links never really quite worked, but to get a faster speed to download them, use softwares like download manager.

while not being free or open-source, i recommend Syntheyes. It is very very fast and reliable, and not too hard to learn. Here is a demo:

I also made a thread about it here:
