Snow Simulation

Are there any tools that can generate realistic snow in Maya like the snow in the movie Frozen?

As you keep posting a whole scattershot of threads about very specific things. I would suggest worrying more about fundamental 3d than how to create all these specific types of effects.

The major tools used at most of the VFX studios are usually some combination of Maya, Houdini, XSI, Max, with some more specific tools like Real Flow or Naiad, in addition to 2d apps, etc.

Most of the big studios use proprietary technology that is built to work inside of these tools or on top of them (sometimes separately). But you need to know the fundamentals before you can even think of using proprietary tools.

If you can’t do particle sims in Maya ‘out of the box’, then reading how Disney does it with whatever in-house tools isn’t really going to help you. There are plenty of ‘making of’ articles out there these days that can at least give you a taste of what you’re looking for.

If you want any guidance beyond asking what so and so used to do whatever effect, then this is a great community that will help.

But yep you need to stop asking such massive broad pointless questions and get on with some actual 3D.
