snapping tools

#1

I am coming from maya new to blender so far it rocks! Quick question about snapping.

Say I have 2 lines of vertices which I want to snap to the grid in one axis so all vertices line up to the same line I tried all the snapping settings and was unable to do it, they would snap as a whole but I could not get all to line up am I missing something ? In maya I would just snap to grid and get them all lined up.

Not entirely sure if i understand your problem but have you tried scaling on an axis and pressing zero. Then repositioning if necessary.

What version of blender are you using?
Snap the cursor to the desired place on the grid. Press the ‘.’ key so your cursor is the active pivot point.
select the vertices and press s, axis(x,y or z) and press ‘0’. All vertices will now snap to the gridline where the 3d cursor is positioned.

If you have any questions let me know!
