Smoothing curves crashes

(Using MB 7)
Does anyone else have MB crash when they try to smooth curves, or know what may be causing this? I have tried smoothing curves both on the control rig and skeleton itself, but it crashes every time. I get this error:

The instruction at “0x5ed195ec” referenced memory at “oxff50067”. The memory could not be “read”. Click on OK to terminate the program.
