Smooth bind problem

#1

Hello;

I’v been trying to rig my character for a while. I’m having a trouble with joint point. i did smooth bind, but when i try to move X or Y axis of joint some of the vertexes don’t move properly as you see screenshot below. i dont understand why it doesn’t do that, i try to paint with weights tool, but it doesn’t work. Why it does do that? How i gonna fix it?

If this is for 2012,Two things, first go to the skincluster node and make sure the lock max influences is turned off. Second select the vertices astray and smash them with the weight hammer command in your edit smooth skin options.

There can be many reasons why its doing this so opening up your component editor and checking the values on them is a good idea too. Almost forgot the third thing make sure you paint weights and bind with interactive if you want to use Maya in it’s classic fashion. editing wieghts in Post just $####.

Write back and let me know if this helps.

Thank you for considering my problem firstly. i tried to turn off max influence value but it desn’t work. Actually its look like fixed but it has created another problem, even though i painted skin toll .
You can see new screenshot below

I would now check to make sure all the joints are influencing the skin, I have seen that cause problems. What you should do next is open up your component editor and check the vertices manually by selecting them. Next plug a 100 percent value to the joint you want them to be the most associated too and paint the weights out from there or weight hammer them.

Now it just look like your radius of influence is to big.
Did you tried the weighthammer?
