Sliding pivot (3dsmax)

Hi!

(sorry for my english…)

I’m currently student, and handle the rigging part for our graduation movie.
I’m facing a problem, i can’t solve at all, none of the tracks that I tried is working…

I’m searching a way to do this (on 3dsmax 2014):

I tried to control only the pivot of the item with CATHDPivotTrans and CATHIPivotTrans, without success ( I can not control the pivot, even with maxscript) , or with the Xform modifiers and animating the “center” but once again, impossible to make it work properly.

Any idea is welcome!

If you have access to older versions of 3dsMax you could try this plugin:
