I’ve been looking at a lot of sites that have general skin tones and colors.
My question kind of has to do with light, or perceived light, or even blackbodies. How do we know for sure what the color of our skin is when it changes in different lighting conditions? Like, I was trying to get an average value for my own face. I’m a pretty pale Irish-German guy with freckles. When I had pictures taken, it was not sunny. This means that more blue is going to come across in the photo. If it was during sunset there would be more red. If it’s tungsten or florescent it will be different. So how can I texture my self portrait with an accurate skin that works in all lighting conditions? Or do use different textures for different lighting conditions?
