Give him a spear and an aspis and you’ll have a hoplite :slight_smile:
The first that I can crit is the linework. It is awry, I mean, places the one and the same line is drawn repeatedly which gives not a nice effect. Try drawing confident, long lines. I read that it’s good to start with only straight lines, even it they will be curved later (or are curved if drawing from reference or from life). It’s great to see you working on the linework, that is very important. I was always amazed by the linework of Zhuzhu. I’m sure you’ve seen his thread and the work posted there. See how little lines he uses.

If you paint an eye from a viewpoint this close, you really ought to add more details you know. Make it anatomically correct :wink:
