Right here goes…my first post of my own work on this immense site

These were done in my life drawing class I take once a week for 2 and a 1/2 hours

I used acrylic on paper (forgot what thickness)

This was the first time i used acrylic for figure ‘drawing’

EDIT: - I photographed these ‘paintings’ - Thus the images are slightly out to what they would look like in real life

Hi Benj, Welcome to you! You did a nice job on capturing the forms with your acrylics.

synkipate,

Welcome! It would be great to hear something about your training thus far. Also if you are painting in acrylics, you may wish to check out Bob Kato’s head painting DVDs, he’s a terrific teacher.

As someone new to the Anatomy Forum, I would encourage you to browse this thread a little to get acquainted:

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Ok well alittle info about myself:
I’m 19, and for about 6 months i’ve had figure drawing lessons once a week, for 2 and a half hours. Other than that I have no no other training, and try to improve my drawings through self study and random books/.pdfs/videos i’ve found around the web. I have become increasingly lazy so this sketchbook will hopefully spur me on to draw more

I’ve heard about those Kato dvds, i’ll try and get hold of a copy, but they arn’t cheap

I plan on getting hold of a Intros3 tablet in the summer, but for now, this sketchbook will be strictly non-digital.

Cheers for looking Rebeccak & Samanthie, and please feel free to critique anything! Thats what this thread is all about
