O: the experiment with layers on painter 9 is so cool!
The OFDW is looking great! I love the eyes, the lids should be a little more reddish i think but I know you haven’t finished it. Keep it up
Hi Glenn! Nice to see you working with painter9 again! Maybe you can try to give your painting more structure? With some textures or so … just a thought 
Keep it up. I have holidays in 3 days, so I’ll come back the next 2 weeks and check your progress (well first I#ll have to buy a new keyboard, this one takes me to long to type)

Trunks…THANK YOU…Been waiting for a new OFDW…Been awhile…I really enjoy these…great challenge and practice of one’s skills…I have mananaged to do all 20 so far, and have learned something new from each of them…can’t beat that…:bounce:

Hey Glenn, colors, I would suggest you to give the image more red / orange tones … your skin colors are looking very cold. My advice would be to give him an overall more warm feeling. I hope you understand what I mean

Pretty tempting to warm those colors up,…you know how I love those hot colors,… but am trying to get as close to the original as I can.
He has a very cool palette…He must be from the north…

I really find your technique of painting quite fascinating - how it slowly emerges from a blurred version to a crisp one :bounce:Really great stuff!!
SpiritDreamer, he’s french, now why are his colors cool then? 
I see Ingres has done some nice work on your piece. I’ll second Intervain, very interesting painting technique. I believe I told you that already some time ago

It has a very traditional feel to it… something which I really like.
It’s really great to see how you build up your colors, going more subtile with each update.
