Welcome bakc Santhosh! Lovely sketches of your travels - really like that coloured face.

#124

MASSIVE upload Santhosh!
Really like that sketch of the Pushkar ghats city buildings somewhere in the middle.
Your style really resembles the way Paul Cézanne approached sketching at a later stage in his career: eliminating all that is not needed.

Your sketches look so free, it’s amazing!

hey johan . , , thanks . pushkar is amazing. . i really want to spend more time there the next time i go to rajasthan . . it may sound vague or cliche . . but i let the pen do all the work . . most of the times i am surprised by the way the lines flow. . mostly unconscious . . i did a few more portraits. . i had painted some with acrylic. . but i gave to them.
there was a saint in vrindavan. . with the most innocent eyes i have seen . . she had the eyes of a 3 yr old . .

Wow these are cool, I love the wild, free strokes. I guess you need good mastery of the form before you can do this without have it looking messy (like mine:)).

I love the watercolour with lots of oker (dark yellow?), it looks vibrant and the blue/gray contrasts create tension - really nice. Self-portrait? Really draws my attention in.
