hey anand . . i am really lost in painter most of the time. too many options. . but i mostly use the tapered oil brush and then use the grainy blender from the oil menu . . the grainy blender in the blender menu is a little diff. .

hey ted . . lol . . the dog is a little too abstract for this forum i guess :P . . thanx. . i am head over heels in love with soft pastels. . they way they react . . 

hey selphoo . . thank you for the visit . and your nice comments. . glad u liked my work . . i usually do paint expressively when usin traditional mediums . . and a lot of times realise white is very powerful . and love the way it looks. .  i will surely try more of expressive strokes in the bg. .

hey NR43 . . i bot a intuos3 recently (but hav been usin a iBall and genius tablet before that ). . lovin it. . but i use my roommate's comp and the OS is japanese :) so cant load the drivers coz hez outa town . . 
the work was done a while ago . .i did it on my uncle's laptop while i was stayin over at this place a weekend. . so had to use a mouse . .

hi fischkopf  . . thank you . . i start off all my works with a blank . . and dont usually make a conscious decision about the style either. . go with the flow. .

herez some 5 min studies . . glassmarker sticks on plastic coated packaging paper i ‘smartly’ bot to try out sketchin in oil !

herez how the oil experiment turned out. . did this in jan .

PS . . was tryin out a custom brush . . the nose is off . . but i liked the eyes.

from memory of a scene of a little girl on a swing made of a sari . a tree and a old building in the bg . it was a fleetin moment i saw from a car window. .
was a little diff from this one. . and this ones a small boy on the swing instead. .

inspired by my painting god Ganesh pyne’s works (his work is nothin like this, colors are his signature). .

really digging the sadhus…lik u said the first one’s eyes came out really nice…2nd one cud well be a in comic :smiley:
i think u can experiment with more saturated colors too with ease in zhuzhu’s style…
hmmm…i dont know any real artists like u know and leared from.tho i did bumped into a very cool guy wen i joined my job.he has left for mumbai now but you can see his abandoned SB here .being self taught isnt always cool :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the way the artist can be “felt” behind his work - and this is exactly what I sensed/felt while looking at some of your expressive paintings there, and here - … really enjoying :slight_smile:

Not the oil one but kuhan.
this sadhu is one of my fav. in all… very good control you got with many colors.
and its become more beutiful…whn I’m trying digital painting…:banghead:

hey KM . . had seen that awesome SB before. . love his strokes. . too bad he stopped postin :frowning: . . i’ve been really lucky to learn from a lot of artists . . manily from my art teacher Ramesh Rao , and through him to be in the presence of a lot of other great artists who have been major influences. . yea,. . the saturated colors . . i always start with them . . but they turn more desaturated as i go on . . maybe coz my subconsious thinks i might go blind :stuck_out_tongue:

hi kasana . . this is one of my fav sadhu’s too . . am started one in oil this saturday . . will post it later today . learin to paint digitally is less expensive. . but it;s better if u start with traditional and then move on. .

gettin used to it after a while. . 2 min heads

and 5min hand studies . .except for mr.petrucci hands. paused the ‘live at budokan’ DVD

a 12"x12" canvas . workin with oils after a really really long time. .

Been meaning to stop by your thread for awhile now…I just seem to keep getting sidetracked lately.
Anyway…Been enjoying your works ever since you opened your thread.
BEAUTIFUL, loose , expressive and powerful style your developing.
Lots of energy and accuracy in those strokes, and also a great sense for color and lighting.
