Sketchbook Thread of Pierrot

#1

Hello,

I am a new french member and a total newbie.
My english is not so good, so go easy on me :).

Here is my first sketch. I read the first two tutorial of Rebecca (thanks very much for this work Rebecca) on Gesture and Opposing curves, and i decided to begin with a Michelangelo’s work : Christ Carrying the Cross.

i keep on working on this two tutorial this month, before to go for the third tutorial on shading (you could see that the shade on my sketch are not ok :scream:).

i still apologize for my english…

With my best regards
Pierrot

hellboychess,

Welcome aboard! Thank you for the kind words, and I am glad you found the tutorial helpful. No worries about the English, trust me, you would be in tears laughing at my “French”.

Nice start here! I think that you will find this thread to be very useful:

Anthony Ryder - Traditional Drawing and Oil Painting Demos
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=177&t=457357

Ryder teaches a very straightforward drawing process which is very approachable and easy to understand. He also sells a book from his website which I highly recommend.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Cheers,

-Rebeccak

Hello !

Nothing to do this evening… I turn on the pc and my little tablet, start photoshop et begin to draw…
One hour later, a sketch is done…
Still a lot to learn…
Made with photoshop cs, a little tablet which is good-for-nothing without any grid.
