Sketchbook Thread of Nitin Vinod K - 2D/3D

Hey Nitin! good work! I haven’t had occasion to observe goats very closely(probably because I once got chased by one while a child  ) but the ears look a bit odd to me- like you can’t really say which way they are turned. …and the lower eyelid looks kinda scraggly. Good effort though! Keep it up!

#62

Thanks anand, i too haven’t observed goats much in real life, must observe a real goats from now then i will get more idea… i just started sculpting with a goat image which i had found online, i couldn’t clearly understand how the ears were exactly positioned since it was just one view so i just tried roughly placing it… there is so many thing that are coming into attention when i am actually sculpting, never really observed a goats ear till now…
now i am curious to know more about goat anatomy and behaviours… feeling happy that i am learning new things…

Here is another speed sculpt which i did yesterday night before sleep… took 5hrs to sculpt this baby…

Good work! nice proportions over-all, though the nose looks a bit too big(its a matter of choice, of course). I think a bit more work is needed on the eyes and lips… they look like they are just drawn in there - probably because the eyelids are so thin and the cupid’s bow seems to be a groove instead of a ridge. Good to see that you are sculpting every day! Keep it up!

OMG! THis is really awesome… something that i always wanted to do… “babies”… looking forward to see the final work.

#65

@anandpg: thanks anand, u are the inspiration… :bowdown:i should have spent more time refining the eyes, but was getting late… and i want to finish it before sleep, so left it… and the lips area, i am noticing it now… strange that, i didn’t notice that part… working late night i am missing some of the obvious details… i think i need some rest, will sculpt something on weekend…

@wickedsamara: thanks preeti… glad u liked it

Here is another sculpt that i did yesterday night…a sabertooth, prehistoric creature… took 4 hrs ( now i need some sleep, probably will sculpt on weekends )

#66

rock on buddy…

very cute second baby…:applause: u finally got baby…hehe.

i feel it dont exactly look like realistic sabertooth. it need more like fierce and strong jaw. it alway to be fierce animal. and front tooth dont look sharp point.but good sculpt…hope u dont be hasty on it.

#67

Thanks for the crits Harsh! i am happy that you are watching my thread… i will work on the jaw area to make it look more stronger… i have to still figure it out

Hey Nitin, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook

Really liking all the speed sculpts you’ve got here. I love the look of the last few, might be cool to push the whole stone sculpture look even more.

Very nice stuff man!

Hi…Nitin…

I’m not qualified to judge the technical aspects of your 3D, but it looks good to my eye anyway…:)…I like the facial expression on that last one…intense.

Keep up the study progress…looks like each one of your sculps is a step up and better than the preceeding one, …which is what it’s all about.
TAKE CARE, and looking forward to seeing lots more of your work and that study progress that’s showing in it…
