Sketchbook Thread of Lemog - 2D/3D

If God would have been nice he would have made us without hands and feet

Joking aside, I believe it’s the parts most of us find hardest. Oh, and of course the ears :banghead:

#182

Ok, so unlike lucky Lemog I am in ‘Helen Keller’ mode now which means I’m at work and can’t view your images…but I will still happily spam your thread.

Ah…nice to know the Lemog can spam all day long at work!

#183

gne ??? ears ??? :scream: ears was created only as support for glasses… huhu

mmmmh… mmmh… no spam here Beckie… Lemog is in serious mode today… and slowly mode now… only can adding details while render tests…
I’m just sorry you can’t see my marvellous and wonderful pictures :scream: hahahahahahaha… seriously :banghead:

…hair now, to hide ears :wise:

#184

And I’m answering mails during lunchtime:sad: …and of course watch your picture growing, already very nice:thumbsup: ! I would be happy to get a well proportioned outline during the same time…And you’ll finish this during lunch?

<serious mode> No problem. Perfect timing, actually.

Looking forward to seeing your work later on, Lolo. You will inspire me to start doing a little more work… </serious mode>

#186

I’m a little bit ashamed… finally, not enough time to finish during the lunch  but finally, the most difficult for me is done… not really the most difficult, but certainly the part I really don’t like… the rough part… and now, it’s time to clean the model… my prefered moment so far…

Remaining work on black background, more easy, even with shadows… it’s always worse with white… it’s good only for drawing masters… :scream:

Next step… go to PainterX to play with the palette knife… one of my best tools

#187

slow mode, huh? Well, it happens a lot anyway - what about the background? Will you keep it white?
EDIT: Oh, you changed it while I was typing!

ears was created only as support for glasses… huhu

Haha. and then we’re among the lucky ones that actually have use for them :scream:

The hair is looking fine, but it looks like she’s not quite seated on that chair yet, but I see you’re working at it so I’ll be quiet (is that possible?!)

#188

oups… the speed method is not always the best…

I must explain something now… Why I want to do this drawing very quickly ? just because tomorrow at work, no 3d for me… I will have a serie of many 2d drawing to do (draw in Illustrator and colored in Photoshop)… and I’m afraid to doesn’t have envy to draw more here :scream: and finish this one

#189

Maybe this will be Lolo’s first speed painting?

#190

Yes… and this one is particulary interesting… comparing to the drawing planed for tomorrow :scream: :banghead:

Little Painter Cession… certainly finish for today… must wait tomorrow to finish… seeyou all my friends :wavey: have a nice day, nice evening and nice night

I will do my best to finish it and to post the finished pic tomorrow on the OFDW10 thread :wip:

#191

Good god, you’re fast! Really impressive for such a fast painting…managed to steal a look…gotta go do some work ~ but look forward to seeing the final.

#192

WOWOW  , the legendary Lemogs Turbo Mode can also be applied to 2D !!

Great painting Laurent , really fast and really soft !!

#193

And here goes the Lemogomotif
Your speed is really amazing - I can’t belive you’re doing this while working your 3djob and giving great feedback to others at the same time, soo Nuts

#194

good god . looks great laurent . so jealous . i have to try this speedation as well . seams good practice all in all.

#195

Good morning all my friends :wavey:

More work for shadows…
…but more will be necessary… not enough shape feeling for the moment…

#196

hahahaha… but I must take care, it’s not always a good recipe…

Sometimes, (when I’m tired…) I’m ask myself the same question… why always running during the day ? :scream: hahaha… maybe because life is finally very short… my main fear is to be at the end of my life, to turn over me on my existence, and to understand which I didn’t have time to make certain things, and whicjhnow, it’s too late.
Then… I try to run…

Don’t be jealous my friend… just open your Anatomy Thread… and try it…

#197

Good morning, Lolo.

Nice work so far…it’s funny, because this model was a model in my classroom back in school, and this picture really captures how she really looks (particularly in the facial expression) ~ it’s quite funny (interesting) that way.

Looking forward to the update…I think a bit more saturation might help a bit.

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Good morning, Laurent!

I see you found some time to work on the pic…very nice indeed:thumbsup: ! I’m glad, that you posted all your wips, very interesting and good to learn from…So you’re scared of the briefness of life…heavy thoughts for this early morning… My only reicept so far is, that ist doesn’t matter what you’re doing, as long as you really like it, do it with passion and in your best possible way:wise: …always a good feeling at the end of the day…and hopefully at the end of the life…But this is really far off now:argh: .
I hope you find some time to work on the other references of the OFDW, I’m really curious to see more. Have a nice day!

Yes…and more funny if you considere as always, when my drawing cession… when I “under” the work… I forget to watch the model for a long time… and I continue just with the feeling… it’s the reason as often there’s some details, shadows or highlights very different than the original model.
But I can assure you which I doesn’t know this model :scream:
And if a day you meet her another time… congratulate her for me about these great poses…

Yep, I remember well your initial posts to the “Evocative” thread ~ and how you have always had a nice, and rather poetic, way of describing things.

I think it’s one of the things I want to try to do with the OFDWs eventually…to make them more interpretive or something…vs. just copying the model…but of course, this is up to the individual artists and his or her needs.

I was looking at your website and at your 2D work ~ you have progressed remarkably in a really short time ~ it’s kind of cool, actually, to see that! Looking forward to what more “THE” Lemog produces in 2D.

Cheers,

~Rebeccak
