Sketchbook Thread of KRIGBERT

Three girls in a boat.

Starting out with this, it’s from a kind of dramatic perspective, and I used no reference, so there are probably some errors I need to have picked out. I’m kind of happy with it so far, though:

It’s supposed to end up as a (fake) concert poster, so it has to be dramatic

Seeing that it’s mostly clothing and people as the focus of the image, I figured it would be okay, even if there is a boat there. I realize I might be wrong, though :l

KRIGBERT

from imagination huh… pretty cool.
I think the girl in the back looks a bit too small but overall this isn’t too disturbing and you’ve made a nice drawing.

What’s written on the boat?
Looks like there is a story behind this

Anyway,
hope to see more soon!

hey Krigbert, welcome to the anatomy forums! A nice start you’ve got here… to say you’ve not used reference, it’s pretty impressive, though maybe at this point you should have a look over some pictures looking down at people, even if you dont use them directly, you can often get a good idea of things you’re off with. I’m no expert with this kind of view, or foreshortening in any way, but the face of the main girl looks a bit flat, the lack of shading of a jawline might be to blame for that, but the eyes too look a little flat on the skull, like they were transfers of eye shapes, rather than spheres covered by skin, if that makes any sense…

but i really like the girl with the beret type hat on, she has a lot of character. You should post some more stuff!

right, as an exercise, I’ll try to copy this image - it’s a Rembrandt, don’t remember the name:

This is my initial sketch:
