WOW!! Watercolor!!.. I can’t do watercolor to save my life, but oh, I love to look at them!

#162

hahaha…niether cud i 2 days back but i wanted to learn a traditonal medium that is troublesome :stuck_out_tongue:

#163

Nice Amrinder. Its good you trying various medium.
I also want to try… Ahhhh!!!..:banghead:

#164

Hey awesome watercolor sketches!
Not too fond about the black framing though. Perhaps leaving the framing out will make your sketches look more natural?

What’s the size you work at with watercolor?

#165

kasana:hehe…u shud also buy this portable kit…its pretty cheap…it got the 12 color set for 375 bucks…not bad at all i think.
NR43:thanks,glad you liked them…i’l post some without frames next time…these sketches range from 1.51.5 inches to 31.5/2 inches the face one was about 3*4 inches.

i intend to try bigger sizes as i get comfortable with them…i got all the pro stuff too…i was very scared of messing up so never tried…but these made me lil comfortable so i hope to try now… maybe today :stuck_out_tongue:

thanks for dropping by,really appriciated

I like your watercolors, looks realy nice. It`s sth I allways wanted and never did.
Waiting for more. Maybe next will be bigger?

Hi …Amrinder

Nice solid and loose charcoal drawings on the previous page.
I really like those small watercolor sketches…GREAT learning technique your experimenting with there…J.M.W. TURNER and alot of other great masters used to do really small and fast prepratory watercolor sketches, just to capture the atmosphere, sense of colors and feeling that the scene gave them,…then they would take them back to their studios and do larger versions in oils, trying to get that same feeling that they captured in those small water color sketches.
Anyway, really enjoying your works and the progress that’s showing in them.
TAKE CARE
Glenn

Nice works!
The two fighters are really good, in my opinion.
I love the drawing of their bodies, and the way you coloured the skin.

Show more, show more!

Oh pretty nice!
The way you built lights and shadows is really really good in my opinion!

#172

hey all
thanks alice im glad you liked it cause i didnt liked it alot…painting digitally feels lik a drag wen you hav just experienced power of traditional stuff lik i did with watercolors…not havin undo made them even more cooler :stuck_out_tongue:

i’m trying to learn new stuff that would help my portfolio in long run so i start with this- the silluette character creation…its a very common practise in most western countries but we here practise totally opposite approach…i just saw it and i thot…why not try…so my first attempt…and i think i’l continue with it cause i lik it…this would not hav come out with my regular approach

thanks for dropping by…helpful and harshfull crits welcomed
