OK i’m back here and im here for good.
i’v been working on setting up a game studio past 6 months but the efforts, the family pressure to get bak in job rat race have really drained out all my creative and motivational energy and i almost left drawing. So im going bak to basics, starting with master studies of JC Leyendecker (I think he’s god of illustration) and NC Weyth. Both hav styles that are very different so it should pose a great challenge and get juices flowing again.
Also i havnt experienced the scary feeling of putting my work up for critique since long time so this shud be fun

OK enough talking… let start the roller coaster ride
a 1935 piece(i think)

wil upload more wip’s soon

Hey Amrinder :wavey: …WELCOME BACK… :arteest:

Yep…Money and pressure can for sure destroy the pleasures, which keeps your dreams alive.
When your art is used to survive, money and pressure can and will corrupt the art you dream of…

Where lies and which is the real treasure.

Art or money…Which will give you the most pleasure.

KEEP THAT DREAM ALIVE, and HAPPYNESS, NOT SORROW WILL FOLLOW.

WHICH WILL GIVE THE DREAM LIFE AND IT’S OWN WILL TO SURVIVE.

WHICH WILL DESTROY THAT WHICH IS IN YOU.

TAKE CARE Amrinder,…and no crits from me…You can’t go wrong studying the masters, you will learn something new with each study you do,…no getting around that fact.
The learning is what it’s all about.
When that stops, it just means that nothing has been learned from learning…

Hi

I’ve followed your thread with interest. Apart from your drawings, there is one thing that struck me as awesome. When you faced a problem, or harsch criticism, or similar, you saw that as an incentive to fight and work even harder, not as a sign to quit. To me, that is the sign of someone who will come a long way.

Keep up the good work

HEY Amrinder…:wavey:

GREAT technique on that baby study…
Always enjoy those animations of yours…That break dancer with the stick, sticks in my mind… …Love this latest one with the ball running over the guy…has the element of surprise, which is always great…
TAKE CARE
Glenn

HEy,
McWolfe: Thanks alot for that. Its actually a very big compliment i think:love: Its not that i dont feel like quitting at times. Its just that god didnt put the quit feature in my brain for this:shrug::stuck_out_tongue:

SD: Thanks alot for your everlasting support  i’m glad you like my animations

Ok new piece. With this i have a theme, prop and thought applied to it :stuck_out_tongue: What if the scooter named pleasure had personaliy?? while making this piece i realised that my lighting isnt good. so expect something connected to that next. Oh and im going to continue this series, hoping to make something good enough tht i can dedicate to Glen Gangus who made the best gals and vehicle combinations. i miss his work:sad:

tc and keep visitng

Finally bak to 3d modelling. i need feedback on this, i will be learning to texture and rig on this model so any feedback will help.

Also, a quick speedpaint i did. need to be more resourceful with time and technique.

Great to see what you’re doing for Glen Angus, he was an amazing artist. Well worth a tribute.
Some crits, everything’s kind of plastic looking, try to define materials better. A highlight or a reflection here and there can make all the difference. Don’t be afraid of using reference to see how things look under different lighting conditions.
Cheers and keep up the good work!

#319

razz thanks for the feedback.well the scooter is made of plastic panels but i guess the gal is also a problem here.lets see how i can correct it in next piece.
some head study i did last nite loosely based on E.M.Gist’s techinique. only heads on this page came out right but it was good practise :stuck_out_tongue:

tc .started a new artpiece.wil post something of it soon

Ok new biker gal piece. After jack zhang told another fellow artist about different human races,my curiosity spiked and i made this. well the bikes name is boxer and it is one the most bland bikes in indian market but it had an interesting name so i went for it. i modified the bike a little to make it look better and didnt use the graphics to keep myself out of copyright trouble. I took reference for the pose also. at almost 6k px and 500dpi, its my biggest piece yet and i think the “boxer” came out way better then last time :stuck_out_tongue:

Your feedback helped me inprove from last time i hope i’l keep on geting better
comments and critques welcomed!!
