First iron man fan art…and its hardly bout him.
I sat down and watched my iron man dvd today…and read iron man’s new comic too…i found pepper potts really intriguing so i tried to make something…this is just bad scan cleaned up so lil funny line art wid no ref’s but i’l be colouring it.So…

hey,

question: did you ever continue work on the pastel drawing frontal face on grey pastel paper on the previous page? It was gorgious! Or was that the finished version (kinda minimal, and all…)

about this enviro:
the green falls are very saturated. I guess it’s an alien world, but still. Maybe keep the fat saturation for the half shades down the falls? It looks like a poison stream.

While the far away structures are nicely fuzzy, the overall depth of the scene would be enhanced if you

  • lightened them up a little to introduce more aerial perspective (far away objects always being low contrast)
  • either added a detailed and dark structure in the extreme foreground or take the texture detail on the rocks beside the green falls to a higher level. Fuzzy against detail, you know?

even though the face on pastel sheet was finished from my side but i know what you mean.i would love to go back an try finish it but im scared of messing it up :stuck_out_tongue:

as for the environ:
-the stream is intented to look poisonous.like toxic chemicals we see flowing or car coolents.
-you are very right about buildings.i has kept them light before i dont know why i darkened them(stupid me)
-the detailed part you said is very right too.i had just lost my patience at that time :smiley:

looks like i shud spend some more time on it.I wanted to add some flying vehicles too.any ides if they’l look good because they will be small.

so noparticularly objective point of view from me here…

you should do a separate row of design thumbnails for the ship. If you need inspiration, do you know this blog, here?

And poisonous stream yes or no - if you’d tone down the saturation in some parts the other ones would shine the brighter for it! But that’s just an opinion. In fact, you managed to get the venomous part across alright.

Hey all,
Coming here after long time and i see i’v reached only page 3.i guess nt many people are updating eh…POST MORE ART PEOPLE :smiley:

Johan:no worries i left that job(or rather lets say i wasnt getting paid for working anymore). now going freelance for sometime an want to catch up all that was lost in that clumsy job just to get an idea of how marketing works :stuck_out_tongue:

Due to inactivity for 12 months the MANGA workshop thread which contained learning material has been closed.it was a very ambitious project at that time and i alone wasnt able to handle it. I was thinking since now i have improved many folds and i have some free time i could re-create a thread for it an add some more new stuff in it as well :wip:

The BIG QUESTION is: is it needed??
