I have a problem with the pelvis area in a lot of these.
I don’t know how to explain really… just looks off… too short perhaps (vertical length)?

Your linework seems very confident though, and that’s a big plus!

#224

I like thoose last sketches, are great. I was working last days with colour and now I think that I miss simple life drawing.
And man in a hat looks great, have mood…

#225

NR43: i think you mite be havin problem cause they are too stylized…maybe they are small at some places too. i was havin too much fun too notice proportions :stuck_out_tongue: but you know what, this madness really helped.somehow due to over exaggeratoin my basics of pelvis are more clearer.you should try it once for fun sake too
konrad11:thanks !! …put up your colour studies lets see them bro

i’l put some more soon…trying somethin new nowadays, will show you guys very soon

tc and thanks for dropping by

Watching your thread, even though I don’t have much time to post comments, and I must say I love these gesture drawings! :applause:

This last painting reminds me of DonQuixote and Pancho scene(isn’t this his fellow’s name?)
Interesting diagonal perspective!

#232

Whoa! I ve seen you sketching these lovely ladies!! Nice work overall. Took me long to see all your sketchbook.

Bhaskar:hey …so you actually saw whole SB??wow. man you just saw 3 yrs of my life there  thanks for dropping by…
something before i continue on my painting.i made this sketch while i was sitting in office and i thot “what if i could proceed with it in a frazetta way???..” even tho im nowhere near close to him but i ended up my first ever he-man fanart :buttrock:

i like the fact that i was able to bring a sort of mood in it.i’l try that more in my coming pieces

HEY Amrinder…

I like the energy expressed and the flow of the line in those figures of yours…
I also like that Frazetta type of one…Maybe some heavy shadows in the forground figure would make it really pop out and receed into space and would also add to the drama, atmosphere, and mood of the piece…Just a thought…
Anyway, always a pleasure seeing where your at, and going to…

Hey Amrinder!
Cant believe you ve been here for the past 3 yrs. Just did a rapid picture browsing of all your pages, so please dont ask me the next day whats on wht page?
About your mesh - yes i afraid you look very rusty, but not frozen fortunately. Legs are too long apparently and the breasts are looking as if they are implanted. Need to correct to your mesh flow or else you will find hard time sculpting this mesh in zbrsuh. Cant find any reference for the mesh flow or else i had sent you here only.
Work on it with some references in your hand.
See you tommorrow!

#237

gosh, that’s some dump you’ve got there  I like the figure studies a lot! Also looking forwrd to the model develop for sure :wip:

#238

finally some feedback.i was wondering where did everyone go :stuck_out_tongue:

SD: thanks alot .i want to increase the drama part of it too but i guess because of my less background based artwork im not very good at it.but i will try to improve in this part.i really want my pieces to hav strong mood.

Bhaskar: hey man,don worry this mesh is almost based on a tutorial… u can see it at arildwiro.com. he’s done it in a diff way then v usually do.i don think this mesh can be animated either :stuck_out_tongue: .on the breats part,i kept it that way intentionally as she will be wearing a tight shirt which wont let them sag…keep visiting this place for a while and if u stil feel doubtful i’l do the needed corrections.thanks for feedback.

Intervain: thanks alot, yes please do look forward to it and give your feedback on it too… :deal:

ok…new piece i did just now for portfolio…it is a study of one mike mignola’s works.i like his style alot because its really different from what we usually see

tc and thanks for visiting

HEY Amrinder…

I don’t know if you have it already, but a GREAT book to have on hand in your personal library for createing mood, is DYNAMIC LIGHT AND SHADE by Burne Hogarth…Tons of stuff in that book that can be really useful to you in understanding the effects of light and shade, and the moods/feelings that can be created using them…
Just thought that I would mention it, just in case you haven’t seen, or don’t have that book…A very useful tool to have on hand.

The window on the right is too distracting imo. Good for a filler yes, but perhaps tone it down a bit and clean up the roster linework.
