Great work on St. Sebastian, Shreya… Shadow areas could use some work, though. Your colors are great!:applause:

Wow, that bougereau copy is amazing… just… wow… All of your pieces are, you have that wonderful sense of light and colour and mass, just makes the things pop out of their colour they sit against. Enviable and very, very inspiring.

Hi, Shreya,

I don’t think I knew you had a sketchbook here. Wonderful…you are definitely the skin-tone-woman…such lovely, lovely skintones on your studies.

Hi Shreya!
I don’t remember to say this before to you, so I can say now: You are an incredible painter!
I’ve seen your works on your CGPortfolio, but these sketches really made my eyes fall from my face. I love all of them, and mainly the portrait of the girl, with the steps.
I just wanted to say “Congratulations” for you. Cheers!

#32

I posted this in my other sketchbook but I haven’t updated this one in ages and the image fits better here…

Copy(wip) of L’Etoile Perdue by William Bouguereau.

#33

wow
splendid work!
I wish you’d post more work here

#34

Yes, Iridyse, I’ve seen you working on some pieces in the wip thread. Why not post it here? I’m sure everyone who doesn’t visit there would love to see your pieces. And, aah, Bouguereau…one of my favorites.
No crits at all, just

#35

Stunning, Iridyse… stunning.

Show us more!

#36

Gosh that’s beautiful Iridyse - when can we expect a lovely tutorial from you?

#37

NR43: Thank you very much! I should be painting a lot more!

razz: Thanks!! I hope you like the (almost) final version

alexbaer: Thank you! And ok, you asked for it…mwahah.

Rebeccak: Thank you so much! I don’t really know what to write a tutorial on , and I don’t feel like I know enough to write something (if that makes sense). I’d love to do one though!

I’m tired of this image for now, so more work on the arms, calf and hair laterlater. I also have a larger version uploaded, to show how nice broken highlights can be

Large version

Another head sketch (from my other sketchbook, more information there- I’m feeling lazy :D)

#38

wow…your paintings are just marvelous! The light and shadow and depth shown in them is amazing to see
